SUMMER CITY HACKS

Turn up the heat and flip the script on summer!

 

This isn't the season for playing it safe - burn the rulebook, trade comfort for wild and run summer in full throttle!

 

We’re in the heat of summer, and sometimes it feels like the temps are so high they melt your motivation and you just want to do nothing all day. But how are you supposed to live your best summer life if you’re stuck behind a screen or glued to the couch?

 

Fear not! In this blog, I’ll share a few fun summer activities that are cool in temperature and guaranteed to make some seriously great memories.

 

• If you wait until evening, a sleepover (or some chilled evening drinks) with your mates is always epic—especially if it’s themed. Think dress-ups, silly games, and way too many snacks. A great place to grab decorations and party costumes is Yakeda’s Party & Giftware.

 

• Starting a book club with your friends is another awesome summer activity, because you can do it literally anywhere: sprawled on picnic blankets at the park, lounging on someone’s couch, or even in a cosy café. Of course, a book club isn’t a book club without books, and a great place to find them is in Paper Plus and Whitcoulls, which is packed from wall to wall with great reads.

 

• Finally, if you’re hot, bored, and just itching to get out of the house, the mall is a sweet place to hang. Bring your friends, grab snacks at LollyShop, then wander into clothing stores like Glassons,  Hallensteins and Just Jeans—or wherever else tickles your fancy. You might treat yourself to a fresh set of nails at Luxury Nails, then pop into Precious Metals and Diamonds for some shiny new earrings.
